Hello there and being very brief I can copy Magadan radio all the way down here in the middle of the Caribbean and usually I can hear both Magadan-control and the flight plus the chatter between both, point is I did recently bought and received a Tecsun PL880 swl rcvr last week and I was just testing it and could hear same thing maybe by past thrusday or so. It almost made me return the receiver (thought it was defective but later realized it wasn’t) and you did copy same modulation distortion problem as I did but in my case was on 11390 USB in that frequency a United airlines flight was calling Magadan and whoa I had to lower the volume due to the harsh noise of their distortion seems that their operators don’t know care or radio discipline and I mean that if you pump the amplifier that way you may break the transmitter or no one yet had gone outside to repair the system on sub-zero temperatures.
