With the Caribbean in the news lately, it may be worth checking out the Joint Interagency Task Force South’s 401 SATCOM net for activity. Here is an intercept with a CBP aircraft “Troy 306” calling “Razorback” and “Salty Dog”. Likely related to the Caribbean Air and Marine Branch (CBP) in Puerto Rico. Station was calling on Blue 1 but coming across satcom voice. Also noted another aircraft “Bull 07” calling for a radio check.
Customs and Border Protection aircraft “Troy 270” with radio checks on 401 net.
265.250 CONUS: Ping Pong (US Customs & Border Protection Surveillance Support Center in Corpus Christi, TX) calling JIATF South.
“3MR” (CBP Dash 8) calling “Razorback” (CBP AMO Air Branch in Puerto Rico)
Moonlit 95 calling Kokomo and Bull Dog. Station calls again and identifies as 5MR, which helps to pinpoint this as being N805MR, a Dash 8 operating for the CBP.
